We also collect files you upload (CSV, Excel, PDF, DOCX) solely to process your analysis requests. These files are not stored beyond the duration of your session unless you explicitly save them.
We automatically collect usage data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interactions with the service to improve performance and reliability.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve PaperPilot
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Polar.sh
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, subscription updates)
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party services necessary to operate PaperPilot:
- MongoDB Atlas — database hosting
- Polar.sh — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- OpenRouter — AI model inference
- Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support@paperpilot.site. Uploaded files are processed in-memory and not persisted to disk beyond your session.
5. Cookies

6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.
